A fire station that serves Vermont, New Hampshire and Quebec is among the properties that have suffered damages in spring flooding.

The Beecher Falls Fire Station in northeastern Vermont was inundated April 27th when a stream overflowed.

The water damaged records and destroyed equipment. It’s the second time in 13 years that the station has been flooded.

Officials from FEMA and the state of Vermont have toured the damage.

Deputy Public Safety Commissioner John Wood tells the Caledonian-Record the state hopes to get FEMA funding to move the station to higher ground.
