Barre school board suspends superintendent search

The Barre area school board has suspended its search for a new superintendent after the man they had wanted to hire said he was no longer interested.

The board of the Barre Supervisory Union is going to wait before continuing its search for a new superintendent until after a meeting of the three separate boards that make up the supervisory union.

The board had offered the job to Brookfield Elementary School Principal Bob Rosane, but he withdrew his name from consideration.

While the district is without a superintendent, more school administrators will be asked to take on additional duties.
