As interest in sustainable agriculture grows, it’s pulling in more and more people who didn’t think they would be farmers.
Kristin Kimball is one of them. She was making a living as a freelance writer in New York when she made the choice to become a farmer. She now lives on a 500 acre farm in Essex, New York, where her family runs a CSA. And she’s written a book about the experience called "The Dirty Life: A Memoir of Farming, Food and Love."
Kristin Kimball says if someone would have told her she was going to end up living and working on a farm she wouldn’t have believed it.
