Author says toxic products in the marketplace threaten American power

You know about the toys from China tainted with lead paint. You know when
some food products are recalled for occasional E-coli outbreaks.

But investigative journalist Mark Schapiro says there is a frightening
amount of what you don’t know about common every day products that are
potentially every bit as dangerous.

Schapiro will talk about these compromised consumer items today at the
Vermont Law School, and his new book that explores why they’re allowed
into the marketplace.  It’s called "Exposed: The Toxic Chemistry of Every
day Products and What’s At Stake for American Power."
