The list of Democrats considering a run for governor in 2010 is growing.

State Sens. Susan Bartlett, of Hyde Park, chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced her interest Saturday at the Democratic state committee meeting. State Sen. Doug Racine of Richmond says he’s running and Secretary of State Deb Markowitz of Montpelier is considering a run.

Democrats say Senate President Pro Tem Peter Shumlin is a likely candidate but he hasn’t said so himself.

On Saturday, Bartlett said she was concerned whether one candidate could have unfair access to the party’s voter files.

Racine says he feels the party does not have clear rules or regulations about the information.
