Appeals Court To Sit In Rutland

The Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is going to hold its first-ever hearing in Vermont.

On October 5th, a three-judge panel hears oral arguments in the newly renovated and restored Post Office and Court House in Rutland.

Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs, of the New York-based appeals court, said it would be the first time in the 123-year history of the appeals court that it will sit in Vermont.
