A Duxbury woman is $200,000 richer, before taxes, of course.

The Vermont Lottery says that Linda Boyce claimed a $200,000 jackpot yesterday after hitting the numbers in Wednesday night’s multistate lottery drawing.

Boyce bought the winning ticket at Depot Beverage, in Waterbury.

Vermont Lottery Director of Sales and Marketing Hadley Melendy says Boyce will be paid the money in a lump sum, after deductions of 25 percent in federal withholding and 6 percent in Vermont taxes.

On Nov. 28, an unidentified person bought a winning $600,000 ticket in Powerball. The person has yet to claim the prize. The ticket was bought at C.H. Stearns Co. Mobil in Johnson.

Vermont may become the first state to lease out the lottery. Listen at 7:20 for John Dillon’s look at the plan.
