Another case of salmonella linked to a national outbreak has been reported in New Hampshire.

Health officials said the unidentified patient was diagnosed with salmonella Saintpaul, the same strain of the bacteria that has been linked to 1,196 cases nationwide.

The new case brings the New Hampshire total to five.

No one has been hospitalized, and no deaths have been linked to the outbreak in New Hampshire.

The outbreak was originally linked to tomatoes, but federal officials have since expanded the investigation to other foods, including raw jalapenos and raw Serrano peppers.
