Amtrack to shut down rail line for maintenance

Amtrak will temporarily shut down its passenger rail line between Saint Albans and Springfield, Massachusetts, during the next three weeks while the tracks undergo routine maintenance.

The Amtrak Vermonter will be replaced with bus service while the work is done.

The northbound service will be disrupted from today through November eighth and between November eleventh and November 15th.

Southbound service will be worked on today through Friday, and from Sunday through November ninth and November twelfth through November 16th.

The bus service may not match the train schedule but will stop at all stations.
