(Host) About 3,000 young musicians in more than 40 bands marched through Burlington last night to open the seventy-fifth Vermont All State Music Festival. Vermont Public Radio caught up with some of the musicians to get their impressions of the festival in this audio portrait. The Burlington High School Band provided the step-off.
The Vermont All State Music Festival continues through Saturday. Today’s scholarship concert is at Burlington High School. Friday’s jazz concert, Saturday’s matinee concert and the Saturday evening performance are at the Flynn Theater. (To hear the audio portrait of the All State Music Festival, click on “Listen” icon.)
