The teachers and school board in South Burlington have reached a tentative agreement to avert a teachers’ strike.
The union said Monday that the two sides met in an all-day bargaining session that resulted in a tentative three-year agreement.
The agreement must be ratified by the South Burlington School Board and the South Burlington Educators’ Association.
Richard Wise is the association’s co-president, and says teachers were pleased that the board worked with them toward a contract he says is fair to teachers, fair to South Burlington’s taxpayers and good for the schools.
