The number of Vermonters without electricity is down to about 4,200 this morning.

The Central Vermont Public Service Corporation says that most of the remaining outages this morning are in the Rutland area, although a few hundred are without power in the Saint Johnsbury area as well.

Utility crews from around New England, New York and Canada are continuing to work round the clock to restore power to Vermonters left without it from the storm earlier this week.

Extensive storm damage struck parts of Rutland County, including hard-hit Rutland City, as well as the Northeast Kingdom.
