Why all the rain?

For most of us, warm sunny days have been hard to come by
this summer.  We talk with area
meteorologists about why we’re having such a period of stormy and soggy weather
this season.  And we also get an
explainer on how such weather works, and how to forecast it.  Our guests include Jay Shafer, a professor of Atmospheric Sciences at Lyndon State College, Eye on the Sky’s Mark Breen, who is senior meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium, and Andy Nash, Chief Meteorologist for the National Weather Service
in Burlington.

Music clips heard in this program:

"Who’ll Stop the Rain?" Creedence Clearwater Revival

"Singing in the Rain," Gene Kelly

"Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down," the Carpenters

"Here Comes the Rain Again," the Eurhythmics

"Blame It On the Rain," Milli Vanilli
