In a state known mostly for its maple syrup and dairy
industries, a handful of vineyard owners are working to earn equal recognition
for the state’s wines. Vermont
is home to 14 wineries, where everything from Rieslings to Pinot Noirs to
hearty French hybrids are produced. We
talk with two Vermont vintners,
Gail Albert of Shelburne Vineyard, and Harrison Lebowitz of Snow Farm Vineyard
in South Hero, about how the industry is growing, and some of the challenges
that come along with growing grapes in a cold climate. (Listen)

Also in the program, VPR’s Ross Sneyd analyzes the week’s
top stories. (Listen)

And we listen back to the voices in the news this past week.
