Moose are afoot. They’ve had their calves and are now
searching for good feeding locations. But moose on the move mean moose on the
roads.  State moose biologist Cedric
Alexander gives us a look at the state’s nearly 3,000 moose – how to spot them
and how to avoid them while driving.

It’s also time to apply for your moose hunting license, so
we’ll hear how the state controls the moose population.

Also on the program, just 40 miles west of the Appalachian
Trail in Vermont is
the start of the North Country Trail. That trail begins in Crown
Point, New York and winds for
over 4,600 miles to North Dakota.
North Country Trail Association Executive Director Bruce Matthews discusses the
efforts to link the two trails through Addison
County.
