Burlington International Airport has recently lost the services of passenger airline AirTran. Moody’s Investors Services has downgraded the airport’s bond rating, citing "protective liquidity" and a debt service coverage ratio that is too low. And ridership at BIA dropped by over 6% between 2008 and 2009.
