We’re in the midst of a summer heat wave and there’s no
better time to head to the beach or find a shady spot, and get lost in a good
book.  During our annual Summer Reading
program, we talk with area booksellers about what’s flying off their shelves
and hear your top picks for the season.  Our
guests include Claire Benedict, the owner of Bear Pond Books in Montpelier, and Mike DeSanto, the owner of Phoenix Books in Essex.  Listen

Also, on July 1st new rules regarding federal
education loans took effect.  Those loans
are now only available directly through the government, and that change makes a
big impact on the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, or VSAC.  We talk with VSAC President and CEO Don
Vickers about how his organization is working to raise capital to fund private
loans. Listen
