Vermont State Auditor Tom Salmon has been trying to bridge the gap between the Douglas Administration, the legislature and state employees when it comes to budget cuts. 

Salmon has made lots of suggestions; from calling for a study of the long term employment needs of the state to suggesting that casinos be allowed at ski areas – an idea he says was designed to stir up debate. (Listen)

Also, two years of rained-on performances have put the long-time Vermont Mozart Festival in jeopardy.  We’ll talk with the festival’s executive director, Tim Riddle, about the future of the event. (Listen)
