Towns and state government try to look after essential services amid the havoc caused by Tropical Storm Irene. Among the priorities, ensuring residents and their possessions are safe, that health precautions are taken during clean up, and that schools can re-open. Our guests include a leader from the Vermont State Police, Health Commissioner Dr. Harry Chen and Education Commissioner Armando Vilaseca. Also, we talk with Vermont National Guard Adjutant General Michael Dubie about the soldiers who are helping to rebuild Vermont’s roads.
