Public Transportation

Public transportation has always been a problem for residents of
Vermont’s small towns and back roads, and the need for public transit is
likely to become more acute as the population ages. We talk about new
ideas for getting Vermonters where they need to go. And we look at an
award-winning program that seems to be working for residents of the
Champlain Islands.

Also on the program, a new report is calling for a shake-up in
Brattleboro’s police department. We talk with a reporter who’s been
covering that story. And we travel to the top of Putney Mountain in
search of hawks flying south.
