In recent years the Vermont Attorney General’s race has generated little heat, but it’s in the spotlight after a hard-fought Democratic primary. Republican candidate Jack McMullen hopes to capitalize on the attention the office has received and convince voters that a change is needed.
McMullen says incumbent Bill Sorrell has been too activist and focused largely on consumer issues. McMullen says he’d take a different approach to combating crime, especially drug crimes. He’s also critical of the Attorney General’s handling of the Vermont Yankee case. We talk with the candidate about his views and the issues that define his campaign.
