Decades ago Vermont
marketed itself as "the beckoning country." 
Today that beautiful, peaceful image of Vermont
remains much the same, and everyone from cheesemakers to woodworkers to
innkeepers trade on it.  We talk about
what goes into crafting a brand, and what Vermont’s
brand has come to stand for.  Our guests
include brand consultant Glenn Ravdin, Assistant Attorney General Elliot Burg,
and Amy Levine from Cabot Creamery Cooperative. Listen 

Also, most property owners would like to make their home or
business more energy efficient, but many can’t afford the upfront costs.  Community activists and energy efficiency
proponents hope a new funding model may provide a long term way around those
obstacles.  And, as VPR’s Nina Keck
reports, save energy and create local jobs in the process. Listen
