At schools around the state, classes are just beginning for returning students. But the school year is well underway for the people who put together each district’s curriculum.

We’ll talk to Curriculum Directors John Barone of Barre City schools and Jean Ward of the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union to find how districts choose what to teach and how to teach
it – and why those choices have an impact on a school’s ability to meet state
and federal standards.(Listen)

Also John Quinn is stepping down after three decades in the Addison County State’s Attorney’s office.  We’ll talk to him about how the job has changed over the years, and the high-profile cases he’s handled. (Listen)

And we’ll hear from artistic director and violinist Soovin Kim and pianist Ignat Solzhenitsyn about this week’s Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival. (Listen)
