Lake Champlain celebrated its quadricentennial
this summer, and garnered worldwide attention.
But Vermont is also home
to more than 800, albeit smaller lakes. We
turn our focus to these other bodies of water and examine their overall health,
and discuss issues including invasive species, waterfront development, and
conservation. The non-profit Federation
of Vermont Lakes and Ponds works to monitor such issues, and we talk with the group’s
president, Perry Thomas, and one of its members, Art Brooks. Listen

Her new documentary is raising eyebrows as much for its title as its content: "Orgasm, Inc" explores the pharmaceutical industry’s attempt to create a female sexual dysfunction in order to market a drug that can cure it. Jane Lindholm talks with Canner about the medicine and marketing of the so-called "female Viagra." The film premiers in Burlington this week. Listen
