When the Crown Point Bridge Between New York State and Vermont was
suddenly declared unsafe and closed, thousands of people had to find
alternative ways to get across Lake Champlain.  They weren’t happy.  Now the two states are making plans to repair the bridge and helping organize bus and ferry service.  We’ll talk with Vermont Agency of Transportation Secretary David Dill and New York State Department of Transportation Acting Commissioner Stanley Gee about the states’ response.  If you’re among those affected by the closing of the Crown Point Bridge, email your comments to vermontedition@vpr.net.

Plus we take a drive with Barbara Brody, the driver’s ed teacher from
Peoples Academy in Morrisville.  She recently received the nation’s highest award for excellence in driver and traffic safety education.  You may be surprised to learn what you don’t know about driving!
