The open lieutenant governor’s seat has attracted candidates from all three of Vermont’s major political parties. Wednesday on Vermont Edition, the two Democrats running for lieutenant governor meet in a debate: Steve Howard of Rutland and Chris Bray of New Haven. Howard has served six terms in the Vermont House and worked as political organizer; and Bray is finishing his second term in the Vermont House and owns a farm in Addison County. The two will debate their differences in this primary campaign, and how they would approach the job of lieutenant governor.
