A year after a Vermont
community was shaken by the murder of a popular school teacher, a
ceremony will be held at St. Johnsbury Academy to honor her life and
celebrate her message "to love those the most who need it the most."
The attorney for a man charged along with his
wife in the killing of a popular St. Johnsbury teacher says it’s likely he’ll
ask that the trial be moved out of Caledonia County.
Officials say it’s likely that next week’s
court hearing for the man charged along with his wife in the killing of a St.
Johnsbury prep school teacher will be postponed.
Allen and Patricia Prue were arrested in connection with the death of St. Johnsbury school teacher Melissa Jenkins. State Police say that evidence at the crime scene and investigation by many law
enforcement agencies led to their door.
A snow plow driver from Waterford and his wife have both pleaded not guilty to second degree murder in the death of a St. Johnsbury Academy teacher. Melissa Jenkins’ body was found in Barnet on Monday afternoon.
