Officials with the Vermont Air National Guard say they’re not sure how much noisier a new fighter jet that could be based in South Burlington is compared with the planes there now.
The Vermont Air National Guard has launched a public campaign to explain
how a
new generation of fighter jet might affect communities around its base
at the Burlington airport – and in particular, how much noise the jets
would create.
Vermont’s Air National Guard base is one of 10 national sites
under consideration by the U.S. Air Force to receive new fighter jets. These
new planes would replace the F-16s currently operated out of the base at Burlington Airport.
