A farm in Springfield that provides quail to high-end restaurants is regrouping after a devastating fire. More
than 20,000 quail and 30 pigs died in the 19th century barn.
The Vermont Telecommunications Authority has terminated two grants awarded to the Springfield based broadband provider VTel. The decision stems from what was described as a performance problem with one
grant.
With mud season under way throughout Vermont, farmers are eagerly
preparing for outdoor field plantings. Kara Fitzgerald, co-owner of Evening Song Farm in
Cuttingsville, says managing erosion is a key part of running a
commercial farm.
