More than 20 candidates are hopeful they will win their party’s nomination for
president next year. And the primary elections that choose the Republican and
Democratic candidates will come fast and furious in January and February 2008.
Political scientists Linda Fowler of Dartmouth College and
Eric Davis of Middlebury College look at the new election calendar and how it
