Popular American Christmas Songs Composed By Jewish Songwriters

Since the 1940’s there has been a deluge of secularized popular songs centered around Christmas and the Christmas season. Curiously, many of the biggest radio hits and enduring songs of this type were composed by songwriters who were of Jewish backgrounds.
 
This week Joel Najman’s My Place program presents an hour of songs by the Jewish songwriters who have provided the pop music soundtrack of the Christmas season.
