Live Friday at Noon: David Ford

Print More

Singer-songwriter David Ford debuted on the UK indie rock scene with the band Easyworld. And when the band split in 2004, Ford quickly established a solo career with ‘I Sincerely Apologise For All The Trouble I’ve Caused’ the following year. The album has a distinctively raw quality and his sensible lyrics offer life lessons and an introspective look at the controversial inner workings of the government, business and media. His songs, while driven by their catchy acoustic melodies, are noted for poking fun at misery using irony. Ford continues to stylistically comment on the disappointments of everyday life, incorporating personal stories while humorously preaching against the inequalities of society. His breathy vocals and bluesy melodies present bouts of inspiration, which have been dexterously translated onto his second and latest solo album Songs For The Road.
