Hungarian-born composer Bela Bartok wrote much of his Concerto for Orchestra during the summer of 1943, while convalescing in Saranac Lake, New York. We’ll listen to it played by the Budapest Festival Orchestra, conducted by its founder, Ivan Fischer.
