Born over 900 years ago, Hildegard of Bingen was a Renaissance woman
well before the Renaissance. She was an abbess, mystic, physician, and
composer, and equally proficient in each pursuit. We’ll hear two of
her sacred motets this
afternoon, as well as Richard Goode playing a Beethoven concerto and
"ecstatic" music of Alexander Scriabin.
