Joan Tower’s timely work "Clocks" opens the morning’s music, and from
there we move on to the "embittered clock of woe" in a Neapolitan
madrigal, and Haydn’s "Clock" Symphony #101. Morning music starts at 8 –
don’t be late! And in the 9am hour I’ll talk with Dr. Bill Pfaff, one of the resident composers at this year’s Warebrook Contemporary Music Festival, about his new work which will be performed in the concert tonight in Newport.
