One of my musical heroes is Marian McPartland. I love the way she
always enthusiastically appreciates a "good tune". This morning is
filled with "good tunes" – including Germany’s a cappella sextet Die Singphoniker, singing Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture, Schubert’s "Notturno" Piano Trio, and the lyrical opening overture from Verdi’s opera La Traviata.
